After launching the Moto Razr 50 Ultra in India about a month ago, the company has now launched a more affordable foldable smartphone called the Moto Razr 50 in India. Motorola has also announced special festive offers on the device for a limited time. Here are all the details.

Motorola launched its premium foldable smartphone, the Moto Razr 50 Ultra, which we found to be one of the best flip phones in the market. Now, the company has announced a more affordable model in the flip series: the Moto Razr 50. While the Razr 50 Ultra is also priced at Rs 99,999, the Moto Razr 50 has been launched at Rs 64,999, which puts the new Motorola foldable in the same price category as the iPhone 14 Plus, OnePlus 12, and Samsung Galaxy S24. However, as part of the launch offers, Motorola has also announced some discounts and deals, which can effectively bring down the price of the Moto Razr 50 to Rs 49,999.

Moto Razr 50 price, pre-booking and launch offers

The Moto Razr 50 has been launched at a price of Rs 64,999. Apart from this, Motorola has also launched a festive discount offer of Rs 5,000 for a limited time, bringing the price of the phone down to Rs 59,999. Apart from this, there is also a festive bank offer of Rs 10,000 “from leading banks”, bringing the price of the phone down to Rs 49,999. Motorola has also announced that on purchase of the Razr 50, customers will get 3 months of Google Gemini Advanced subscription along with 2TB of cloud storage space. The smartphone comes in three colour variants: Koala Grey, Beach Sand and Spritz Orange.

The Moto Razr 50 will be available for pre-booking starting tomorrow, September 10, and will go on sale starting September 20. The foldable phone will be available for purchase via Amazon India, Motorola India website, and other major retail stores including Reliance Digital.

Key specifications and top features of the Moto Razr 50

The Moto Razr 50 sports a large 6.9-inch pOLED FHD+ 120Hz internal display. On the outside, the phone sports a 3.63-inch OLED FHD+ 90Hz display. The internal display supports HDR10+, while the external display supports HDR10. The main display has a peak brightness of 3,000nits, while the external display goes up to a maximum of 1,700nits. Both displays have a pixel density of 413ppi and a colour range of 10-bit. Both displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It has a vegan leather back and the body is made of high-strength aluminium. The smartphone is quite lightweight weighing 188 grams.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, which is built on 4nm architecture. The octa-core chipset is paired with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. The smartphone uses 8GB of RAM with RAM Boost 3.0 and has 256GB of built-in storage, which cannot be expanded.

The smartphone packs a 4,200mAh battery that supports 33W TurboPower fast charging. The Moto Razr 50 also has support for 16 5G bands including N1/2/3/5/7/8/20/26/28/38/40/41/66/71/77/78.

For photography, the Razr 50 has a dual camera setup at the back, which includes a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and f/1.7 aperture. Next to it is a 13-megapixel ultrawide/macro camera with f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree field of view. There is another floating in-display camera on the main display, which uses a 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. All three cameras support 4K video recording at 30/60 fps.

The Moto Razr supports two SIMs, one physical and one eSIM. It has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and features spatial sound. The phone uses a USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging. The phone runs on Android 14. Motorola promises 3 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates, which is standard.
