Introduction
The Moto G Stylus lineup has been exclusive to North America for the past few years and has a good following overseas as well. Our curiosity finally took over and we imported the latest Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) model from the US. Meet one of the few phones that isn’t a Note, but it definitely deserves the name more than most.
The Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) looks similar to the recently launched Moto Edge 50 series, be it the Fusion, Pro or Ultra. It has a relatively narrow design with a large screen and a unique eco-leather back panel that covers the rear cameras without any borders or obstructions. The only meaningful difference between the Edge and the Stylus is the lack of full water protection – the Stylus has a water-repellent design – Motorola is using a fancy term for the original IP52 rating.
The Moto G Stylus 5G sports a 6.7-inch pOLED 1080p screen with 1B colors and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chip paired with 8GB of RAM, just like the Latin American version of the Moto Edge 50 Fusion.
The Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) sports a dual camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP OIS primary with 2x lossless zoom and a 13MP ultrawide camera with macro support. The front camera is 32MP.
The phone features loud stereo speakers, a large 5,000mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging, and a clean Android 14 OS.
The 2024 Stylus model is quite an update over the 2023 version – even though it has the same chipset, it brings a much better design, display, cameras, and most importantly – completely expanded stylus capabilities – lower latency, OCR options, better stylus-related apps.

The Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 appears to be the perfect mid-ranger, offering all the features you should expect from a $400 phone, including a built-in stylus.
Unboxing the Moto G Stylus 5G 2024
The Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 comes in a thin paper box, which contains the phone and a USB-C cable. That’s it.
There’s no charger, no case, and no scented box (unlike the Edge series in the rest of the world).
