Carl Urban steps in the role of Johnny Cage, a fan-psandida fighter known for his comic and martial arts skills. Edaline plays the role of Rudolf Kitana, while Martin Ford depicts the villain Shao Kahan.
One of the images issued catches Johnny Cage in preparation for the fight, with Liu Kang (Ludi Lynn), Jacques (Mehkad Brooks), and Sonya Blade (Jessica McCamy) from a distance.
Director Simon Mcquoride highlighted how Johnny Cage would be painted in the sequel. While the character is known for his comic relief, filmmakers aims to avoid exaggerating him excessively.
