Samsung is hosting its Galaxy Unpacked Event (Virtual) on May 13, 2025 tomorrow for the launch of its ultra-ingested Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone. However, the company’s next unpacked event is expected to be held in early July, and the latest rumors have come out, with what we expect from the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7. A fresh leak now claims that the Galaxy Z fold 7 can measure only 8.9 mm when folded and an incredibly slim 3.9 mm when it is revealed. If true, it will create slimmer compared to any other foldable phone on the market today, including Oppo Find N5, which currently holds a record at 8.93 mm when closed.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is also rumored to facilitate an advanced triple-camera setup led by a lighter build, a new Kaj mechanism for a low visible crease and a 200-megapixel primary sensor. Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed by Samsung yet, so we suggest that this information is suggested to take information with a healthy grain of salt.

In terms of cameras, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been tipped to come up with a 200-megapixel primary rear camera, which will be a major jump from the 50-megapixel sensor used in the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It can be paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in early July. Reports suggest that the launch will be in New York, marking the return to the US after a two -year foreign launch. The company is likely to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7, a new Android-Integrated XR headset, and possibly tease other foldables like Galaxy Z Flip FE and Galaxy G folds.
