What makes Moong Dal Chilla Wrap a must-have?

Moong Dal Chilla Wrap is an excellent option for families who need something healthy and protein-rich for breakfast. Moong dal, as we all know, is rich in protein. And when it is mixed with other ingredients, it becomes a delicious food with a balanced mix of nutrients. The high protein content keeps you satiated for longer, making it perfect for busy mornings. Plus, it’s extremely versatile, so you can pack it with your kid’s favorite veggies too!

Can you substitute eggs in this Moong Dal Chilla Wrap?

Absolutely! If you want to make it egg-free, simply skip the scrambled eggs and add an extra portion of roasted vegetables or cheese for protein. You can also include tofu in your wrap as a vegetarian option. Since moong dal has high protein content, its wrap remains nutritious and filling. Want to make it colorful? Add additional green vegetables like spinach or lettuce to make it even more delicious and visually satisfying.

How to make Moong Dal Chilla Wrap | High-Protein Moong Dal Chilla Wrap Recipe

Making Moong Dal Chilla Wrap is very easy. This recipe was shared by chef and content creator Saloni Kukreja. To make this cover:

1. Prepare moong dal mixture

Wash moong dal 5-6 times until the water runs clear. Then, soak it for at least 1 hour or overnight. Once soaked, add it to the blender. Add chopped green chillies, water and salt in the blender. Mix it into a smooth batter and keep aside.

2. Prepare the eggs

Break the eggs into a bowl. Add chopped garlic, chilli pieces and spices of your choice along with a little milk. Beat until well mixed. Heat a nonstick pan and add some butter in it. Add the egg mixture and beat until finished.

3. Cook Chilla

– Heat some oil in a nonstick pan. Add one ladle of moong dal batter and spread it evenly by rotating the pan. Cook until golden brown on both sides.

4. Wrap

Place the cooked moong dal cheela in a plate and make a slit in the middle. Spread basil pesto on half of the cheela. Place chopped tomatoes on one quarter of the cheela and fried eggs on the other quarter. Fold the chilla like a wrap and enjoy!
