Mohanlal inspired Lucifer Entry Scene Rajinikanth: Prithviraj Sukumaran
Malayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is busy promoting his upcoming film L2: Imapuran, recently revealed that he inspired Rajinikanth to design Mohanlal’s entrance scene in the 2019 blockbuster film, Lucifer.
Malayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran is actively promoting his upcoming film L2: Emapuran, starring Mohanlal, who has been slated to release in theaters on March 27, 2025. The action thriller is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. Now, beyond the release of the film, the actor-director revealed that he took inspiration from Tamil superstar Rajinikanth for Mohanlal’s entrance scene in Lucifer.
During an interview, when the host talked about the prestigious nature of Mohanlal’s entry into Luusifer, Prithviraj said, “You are saying that a scene is enough to tell who Mohanlal is, but this whole scene was inspired by a story, which I had heard of Rajni Sir, which I had read about the road for a long time.
He further said, “I don’t know whether it is true or not; it’s something I have read in a news article. After reading that article, I thought this scene could be imagined.” Although it cannot be confirmed, Phithviraj is referring to the story, which could be a matter of Rajinikanth, which was spoken during the 2020 film, Durbar’s Audio Launch event.
Prithviraj Sukumaran met Rajinikanth in Chennai at later residence and showed him the trailer of L2: Emperan. During the interview, he also revealed that on the trailer, which has not yet been released to the audience, Rajinikanth hugged him and held a detailed discussion.
He said, “He (Rajinikanth) saw my trailer many times, and we said a lot; I will never forget it.” Asked what Rajinikanth said about the trailer, Prithviraj chose to keep the conversation closer to his heart. He said, “The second time when he saw it, he came and hugged me. After that, we talked a lot,” but chose not to reveal the conversation.
