The first full trailer for the much-awaited Moana 2 has been released. The film’s star and producer Dwayne The Rock Johnson introduced the film at the ongoing Disney’s D23 event. Johnson voices Maui in the franchise.
In the new trailer, we see Moana answering another call from her ancestors as she searches for the lost island, Motufetu, which has apparently been hidden by the God of Storms.

Speaking at the event, Johnson said, “It takes courage to believe that there is more, and to do more. I know what that means to me, being a person of Polynesian culture, I’m half Black and half Samoan, and I know what that means to Auli’i (Cravalho, the voice of Moana) as well,” Variety quoted the artist as saying.
In the released clip, we also see Moana becoming a mentor of sorts to her three-year-old sister, Simia.
There’s also a live-action remake of Moana that’s currently in production.
Moana 2 will hit the big screen on November 27.
