Mimi Chakraborty alleges harassment at live event, organizer denies claims
Actress and former MP Mimi Chakraborty filed a police complaint alleging harassment and disruption during a live stage performance in Bongaon, West Bengal. Event organizers denied the allegations.

Actress and former Member of Parliament (MP) Mimi Chakraborty on Tuesday filed a police complaint alleging harassment during a live stage performance in West Bengal. The incident occurred when she was performing during a cultural program in Nayagram area of Bongaon city.
The 36-year-old said in her police complaint that the event organizers stepped on the stage and stopped her performance, and also asked her to leave the stage. The actor lodged a complaint at Bongaon police station through an email.
However, the organizers denied the allegations and alleged that Chakraborty’s security personnel actually misbehaved with her. One of the organizers of the event, identified as Tanmay Shastri, told the media that Chakraborty arrived at the venue an hour late and was allowed to perform only till midnight. “Ms Chakraborty was neither insulted nor harassed and the allegations made by her are completely baseless,” Shastri said.
Chakraborty later shared a cryptic note in her Instagram Stories, citing “fake stories”. He wrote about people being hurt by true stories. His note read, “Fake stories give TRP, not truth. Congratulations to all those who choose TRP and believe that fakes are very real, people get offended by the truth, and defaming the artist is the new normal,” followed by folded hands emojis.
Further investigation of the case is still going on.
