Microsoft announced its latest surface equipment with 2 -in -1 surface Pro 12 and Surface Laptop 13.
Surface Pro 12
Surface Pro 12 is built with 2,196 x 1,464px resolution and 90Hz refresh rate around the 12 -inch LCD touchscreen. The signature surface 3: 2 aspect ratio is back again, and you still get stylus inputs through the bundle surface slim pen, which attachs and charges magnetically behind the device. The device has a 1080p front-facing camera with Windows Hello and 10MP rear shooter.
Like the previous surface 2 -in -1 devices, Surface Pro 12 has an adjustable kickstand and viosya keyboard. Microsoft is now offering its alternative keyboard accessories in the colors of the slate, violet and ocean, although it goes with the alkantara finish signature from the surfaces of the previous generation.
Surface Pro 12 is with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus (8 core) 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 or 512 GB storage. The device has no vent for cooling. It has Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, although there is no cellular option this time.
Surface Pro 12 has an aluminum chassis, which weighs just 686 grams, and it is 7.8 mm thick. It has 2X USB-C ports, which support USB 3.2 and DP 1.4A protocols. Microsoft removed the magnetic surface connect charging port.
Microsoft did not reveal the actual battery capacity of Surface Pro 12, but claimed that it could distribute web use up to 12 hours and 16 hours local video playback.
Surface Pro 12 is on pre-order and starts $ 800/€ 979/£ 799 For 256GB storage version. It comes in platinum, violet and ocean colors. Delivery is scheduled for May 20.
Surface laptop 13
The new 13 -inch surface laptop slot surface laptop as the most compact entry in the family, complementing 13.8 “and 15” models. It provides a 13 -inch LCD touchscreen with 1,920 x 1,280 PX resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate and 3: 2 aspect ratio. You also get 1080p webcam with Windows Hello.
The laptop gets an aluminum chassis and weighs 1.22 kg. It has the same 8-core Snapdragon X Plus chip as surface Pro 12, which is paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 or 512GB storage.
In terms of port, you get 1x USB-A (3.1), 2x USB-C (USB 4 and Displayport 1.4A), and a headphone jack. You also get Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
Like Surface Pro 12, we do not get the figure of real battery capacity. Microsoft claims 16 -hour web use and local video playback for 23 hours.
Surface laptop comes in 13 seas, violet and platinum colors. Pricing begins $ 900/€ 1,099/£ 899 For 256GB version. Delivery is scheduled for May 20.
