Mickey 17 is out of OTT. Robert Pattinson starrer has made his way on digital platforms five months after his dramatic release. Directed by South Korean filmmaker Bong June Ho, the film discussed online for its unique story and casting of Twilight actor. It is mainly talked about its dark humor and world-building concept.
The film is available to stream on prime video. Viewers will require a subscription for digital streammer or can rent the film on a nominal amount.
For the Indian audience, the film will be available to stream on jiohotstar with a membership pack. The Pattinson starrer can also be seen on OTT Play with a premium membership.
What about Mickey 17?
For the film, Robert Pattinson signs up for a space program as Mickey Barsns, who were tired of their lives on Earth. He becomes an expenseable on the human colony Nilfime. Due to some scientific process, his body revives after every death. For further conspiracy, the film’s official synopsis states, “A disposable employee is sent on a human campaign to colonize the snow world Niflaim. After a repetition dies, a new body is revived with most of his memories.”
Apart from Batman Star, the film also stars Naomi Ekki, Steven Yehun, Patty Ferran, Cameron Britain, Daniel Henshell, Stephen Park, Anamaria Wartolomy, Tony Chole and Mark Raffalo.
Mickey is written by 17 June and is based on Edward Ashton’s novel of the same name.
Meanwhile, Bong Jun Ho, who won the Oscar for his work in the parasite, was designed to cooperate with Robert Pattinson.
While the film was most talked about at the time of its dramatic release, it performed decency at the box office. The cinematic piece went to collect US $ 131.8 million worldwide in a budget of USD 118 million. So far, Mickey 17 is nominated for a couple of awards, amidst the award season.
