In India, Oakley Meta smart glasses will be available for sale at a starting price of Rs 41,800, placing them in the premium smart-wear segment. Pre-orders for these smartglasses will begin on November 25 via Sunglass Hut’s official website, with nationwide in-store availability starting December 1, 2025 across Sunglass Hut and other leading retail partners.

According to Meta, the Oakley Meta range will come in six frame and lens color combinations, all of which will be compatible with prescription lenses. The smartglasses will be available in various lens options PRIZM Ruby, PRIZM Polar Black, PRIZM Deep-Water, Transition Amethyst, Transition Grey, and a clear lens.

Features of Oakley Meta Smart Glasses

The new Oakley Meta smart glasses feature a built-in camera, open-ear speakers, and Ultra HD 3K video recording, all powered by the Meta’s integrated AI assistant. The glasses come with Meta AI built right into the frames, with support for both English and Hindi voice interactions. Users can ask questions, get information, take calls, send messages and completely control the media through voice commands. The company says that Hindi support can be enabled through the Meta AI app settings. Meta is also hinting at India-specific additions, including UPI Lite payments, which it said is “coming soon.”

Voice assistance can be activated by saying, “Hey Meta, take a video.” With this command, users can record hands-free videos without interrupting activities like cycling, running or training.

The glasses have an IPX4 water-resistance rating, making them capable of handling water splashes and light exposure. Open-ear speakers are integrated into the frame, allowing users to hear ambient sound while enabling audio playback.

Meta also highlights the glasses’ battery performance, promising 8 hours of normal use, 19 hours on standby and fast charging that gets the battery up to 50 percent in about 20 minutes. The smart glasses come with a portable charging case, which provides up to 48 hours of standby power for extended use.

app support

According to Meta, the glasses also support apps like Strava and Garmin, allowing users to track activity metrics without having to check their phone or smartwatch. The company says these glasses are especially useful for people who run, cycle or participate in other outdoor activities where hands-free access to information is more practical.
