With a strong lineup of Indian celebrities in appearance, Gala 2025 gave us some memorable fashion moments.
India caught Spotlight in Met Gala 2025 – the biggest night of fashion – made a great statement with a strong lineup of Indian celebrities in appearance. This year, Gala doubled as the country’s rich heritage, craftsmanship and ambiguity.
As a blue carpet- was crafted in India, there was no less on the prestigious stages of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, a stream of celebrities arrived in Sartorial Splendar. They each explained this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, which celebrated the history and cultural significance of Black Dandyism and Men’swear Telling.
It was impossible to remember India’s presence in this prestigious event. From the entertainment industry, Shah Rukh Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani made their Met Gala debut, while Priyanka Chopra marked her fifth appearance.

Famous designer Manish Malhotra also made his debut, while Sabyasachi Mukherjee returned for the second time.

Natasha Poonwal, Mona Patel, Isha Ambani and Dia Mehta Jatia representing Indian fashion and business elements.

Indian designer in headlines
From Sabyasachi to Manish Malhotra, Anamika Khanna and Gaurav Gupta, the best compositions of Indian designers stood in the prestigious fashion gala.
Manish Malhotra, who made an impressive beginning in an extraordinary attire adorned with complex embroidery and bezaveded detailing, also met Gala regular Natasha Poonwalla for the incident.

Poonwal’s dress was a grand work of the sartorial artistry, which was paying tribute to her Parsi heritage and also paying a visible fashion moment on the prestigious carpet.

The centerpiece of her attire was a sculpted fishtail skirt, which was carefully prepared from two vintage garas Saris – one which was seen by Manish Malhotra from the archives and the other at an older than a century. A corset-karmabond was paired with a French lace brlt with a elevated pointed neck with cascading beads.
Apart from Poonwal and Malhotra, Grammy Award winner Coco Jones also showed a Manish Malhotra in creation.
next? Anamika Khanna took the Indian turn on Androgynous Fashion. He replaced a handwowan checked textile in an ornate cape-jacket for Isha Ambani. Gorgeous gold embroidery, semi-precious stone, and traditional pearls saw a Regal Office-which is for a specific Indian interpretation of dandyism.

Gaurav Gupta, whose compositions have appeared before the Met Gala-recently on Mindy Kalinga-Mom-to-B Kiara Advani was styled for her debut in this year’s fashion gala. Together, she prepared a gown that paid tribute to motherhood, resulting in a heartbreaking on the blue carpet.

However, it is difficult to ignore that actresses like Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor have already demonstrated their versions of their signature metallic breastplate outfits.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee – There was no stranger to participate in Met Gala, and earlier Alia Bhatt and Natasha Poona were wearing clothes – this year’s program had a creative power behind superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s first film.
A crisp all-black suit contains a long coat made for sewn pants, shirts, satin waistbonds and a classic sartorial choice. He raised the look with a heavy jewelry monster-load and lose-load-in which the pendant-pendant-and a statement of the tiger-head kane.

Classic? Yes! But is Met very safe for Gala? Also yes. BTW, Desi fans are also not influenced by how Shah Rukh Khan had to introduce himself to foreign media.
Diljit Dosanjh, did not get away from Maximalism, brought the grandeur of Punjab to Met Gala with a brilliant start in a Regal Ivari Sherwani by Prabal Gurung. Taking inspiration from Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, he wore a heavy embroidered engagement under Sherwani, which was paired with a wide ornament inspired by the famous Patiala necklace.

The reputed look of Punjabi actor-singer included special touch-a map of Punjabi and Gurmukhi script, which embroidered on the back of his cape on Dosanj’s suggestion. He completed his desi-dandi dress with a formal sword and a Sikh turban.
