One such actor is Rakesh Bedi, who started his film career as a supporting actor in the 1979 film ‘Hamare Tumhare’. However, since then he has been a part of many films and TV shows that have proven that he is one of the finest actors.
Theater is what keeps Rakesh Bedi sane, who even today loves coming on stage and playing some of his iconic characters. He is remembered as the actor who played 24 different characters in Vijay Tendulkar’s popular one-man play Massage. Even today, the actor is invited to auditoriums across the country to perform his epic monologue from the play directed by Harbansh Singh.
In her extensive film career, Bedi has had the opportunity to share the screen with some of the biggest names in the industry. In 1997, she worked with Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla in Yes Boss. The senior actor then got the opportunity to play a small role in the Akshay Kumar starrer Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi.
Some of her other popular films include Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan with Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge with Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Phir Hera Pheri with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, Uri: The Surgical… Strikes are included. Earlier this year, Rakesh Bedi was seen in Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. He then played the role of Trupti Dimri’s character Vidya Babla’s father in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala video with Rajkummar Rao. Her latest film was Saurabh Dasgupta’s Kahaan Shuru Kahaan Khatam starring Dhvani Bhanushali and Ashim Gulati.
Currently, the veteran Bollywood actor has completed the Amritsar schedule for his upcoming film with Ranveer Singh. Directed by Aditya Dhar, it is one of the much-awaited action-packed thriller that also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles. The title of the film Dhurandhar was leaked recently.
