Two decades ago, the actor joined the Indian film industry. She made her acting debut in 2002 with the action-drama film Pitah, starring Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nandita Das and Om Puri. Born in Varanasi, Vineet Kumar Singh grew up as a single sports person, who played basketball at the national level. Even though he knew that he wanted to join the industry, Singh quit taking formal education in acting. He then joined a medical college and graduated with flying colors. Today, he is also a licensed medical businessman with a bachelor of Ayurveda, medicine and degrees of surgery. He also did MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Ayurveda.
After his first film, Vineet assisted the director Mahesh Manjrekar for several projects, but soon focused on being a acclaimed actor. After doing some small roles, he was seen playing the role of Danish Khan at Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Waspur. Later, he was seen in Bombay Talkies, Ugly, Bollywood Diary and more.
In 2018, he used his sportsman skills and trained for almost two years to play a boxer in Mukkabaz. This was followed by films like Gold, Sand Ki Ankh, and Janhvi Kapoor -led Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, which helped him become a known face for the audience. Earlier this year, Vineet Kumar Singh had the opportunity to work with director Laxman YouTekar in the historic action film, Chhawa.
While Vicky Kaushal played the lead role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the film, Singh was seen as his friend and confidant, Kavi Kalash. The film included Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Diana Paint, and more.
Subsequently, he was seen as Farg in the upcoming age film, Superboy of Malegaon, which was dramatically released in February 2025. Recently, he shared the screen with Sunny Deol and Randip Hooda in Actioner, Jat. Stayed by Gopichand Malinani, the action-thriller introduced him as Somulu. Viewers are currently in love with their performance in both Chha and Jat.
