Meet the actor and singer who was a civil engineering student and rejected Karan Johar’s film Lust Stories, will now be seen in Aryan Khan’s debut project

Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, known professionally as Badshah, is a prominent Indian rapper and singer known for his contributions to Hindi, Haryanvi and Punjabi music. Born on November 19, 1985 in New Delhi, India, he attended Bal Bharti School in Pitampura and later studied civil engineering from PEC University of Technology in Chandigarh.

Badshah started his musical journey in 2006 with Yo Yo Honey Singh in the hip-hop group Mafia Mundeer. In 2012, he began his solo career with the release of Born Star.

Over the years, he has given many chart-topping tracks, including Kar Gayi Chull, DJ Wale Babu, Garmi and Pagal. His unique style and catchy tunes have cemented his position as a leading figure in the Indian music industry.

In an interview with Lallantop, singer and rapper Badshah shared that Karan Johar had initially approached him for a role in Lust Stories. However, he rejected the offer citing that he was uncomfortable playing a character unable to satisfy his wife, the role eventually went to Vicky Kaushal.

Furthermore, Badshah revealed that he was also considered for Diljit Dosanjh’s role in Good Newwz, but he decided not to do it. Both films, starring Kiara Advani in lead roles, were well received by the audience.

Badshah eventually started his acting career with Khandaani Shafakhana opposite Sonakshi Sinha, although the film did not perform well at the box office.

Following this, Pinkvilla recently reported that the singer is set to play a brief role in Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s debut directorial project, reportedly titled Stardom.
