Meet Suborno Bari, "The world’s youngest professor" graduate from high school at age 12

Twelve-year-old Suborno Bari is set to become the youngest student to graduate from Malvern High School on Long Island. Mr. Bari will receive his diploma on June 26, then begin his next journey at New York University (NYU) in the fall.

Mr Bari, who has written two books and taught college classes in India, said the achievement was “really exciting” for him. He gained global attention when he set a world record with a perfect SAT score of 1500 at age 11, ABC7 reports.

Known as the “World’s Youngest Professor”, he was invited to deliver a lecture as a visiting professor of physics at the University of Mumbai.

His passion for math and physics has now earned him a full scholarship to NYU, where he aims to fulfill his dream of becoming a professor and helping others “understand math and science.”

Mr Bari’s exceptional academic ability helped him advance from fourth grade to eighth grade and then from ninth grade to twelfth grade, enabling him to finish school early. “I have a deep curiosity about every subject, be it math, science or history,” Mr Bari said.

Reflecting on his high school experience, Mr. Bari said that despite being significantly younger than his classmates, he found the support from professors and most students encouraging.

His mother, Shaheda Bari, spoke proudly of her son’s unique journey, saying his determination and extraordinary abilities set him apart from his peers. “He’s not like the other kids. He was always one step ahead,” she told ABC7.

Mr. Bari’s teachers praised him as an extraordinary individual. According to his AP Chemistry teacher, Patrick Nolan, he is “truly a unique case.”

At the age of four, former US President Barack Obama honored and praised her for her achievements in mathematics and science.

At the age of 7, this talented boy wrote his first book ‘The Love’, in which he imagined a world free from terrorism.

At age 9, Harvard University recognized Mr. Bari’s “problem-solving” abilities and accepted him into New York City’s Gifted and Talented program. He also took classes at Stony Brook University.

He is now on track to complete his bachelor’s degree by the age of 14 and plans to obtain his doctorate by the age of 18.
