Meenakshi Seshadri said Vinod Khanna was a ‘cool-natured guy’, used to share ‘dirty jokes’ with him
Damini actress Meenakshi Seshadri spoke about her experience of working with late Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna. She said that she had a good bonding with Vinod.

Veteran Bollywood actors Meenakshi Seshadri and Vinod Khanna exude great chemistry on-screen, which reflects their off-screen rapport. Recently, Meenakshi revealed how she spent her lunch break sitting with Vinod and his father, who would often visit their sets, and crack dirty jokes.
Meenakshi said, “Vinod Khanna and I had a very good friendship. My father loved coming to the set when I shot with him. We used to tell dirty jokes during lunch.” lehren retro during a conversation.
Meenakshi and Vinod shared the screen in films like Satyameva Jayate (1987), Jurm (1990), Police (1990), Mujrim (1990), Kshatriya (1993) and Humshakals (1992). Recalling her experience of working with Vinod, the 60-year-old actress said, “Vinod Khanna was a cool person. He was at the peak of his career. He would go to the (Osho) ashram and come back and shoot.”
Vinod Khanna became a disciple of Osho in the early 70s. He left his wife and two children Akshay and Rahul and moved to Oregon.
Meenakshi, best known for her performance in Damini, also spoke about her popular song “Jab koi baat bigad jaaye” from Jurm, which she shot with Vinod. She said, “It’s always a hit!”
Earlier in an interview FilmfareMeenakshi had also said that she and Vinod were not “good friends”.
She said, “I am not claiming that Vinod ji was a good friend. But he was a kind and inclusive person. To put it mildly, Vinod ji brought something new to Sheshadri. When I was doing films with Vinod ji, my dad loved coming to my shoots. The three of us would crack naughty jokes. Others would wonder what we were laughing at. I had a fun relationship with my father, where we would crack jokes, play word games, etc. It was an extension of that with Vinod ji as well. I was not comfortable with anyone else seeing this side of my personality.”
Vinod Khanna, who made his Bollywood debut with the 1968 film Man Ka Meet, died on April 27, 2017 after battling cancer.
