Masaba Gupta opts for a glamorous look for her biscuit and caramel themed baby shower

Fashion designer Masaba Gupta is all set to become a mother soon. On Sunday, actress Sonam Kapoor and her sister, producer Rhea Kapoor, hosted an intimate baby shower ceremony for the mother-to-be. But this was no ordinary baby shower ceremony – a special biscuit and caramel theme was chosen for the ceremony. Glowing with happiness, Masaba wore a light grey gown; which she posted in her latest Instagram picture. It featured a series of pregnancy pictures of Masaba, husband Satyadeep Misra and their dog (who was also in theme with the day’s colour palette). The mother-to-be wore a custom House of Masaba dress with long sleeves and a flared body that reached down to her ankle. Along with pointed beige pumps, she paired the look with a multi-layered necklace and dangling earrings.

The event was attended by close family and friends including Neena Gupta, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Akansha Ranjan, Samiksha Pednekar, Pooja Dhingra and others. Rhea and Sonam were also dressed in similar colours. Masaba’s cute baby bump was the main attraction in all the pictures and videos that circulated online. Earlier this month, Masaba Gupta spoke about how motherhood means embracing change. In a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar India, she said, “People often say, ‘Oh my God, your life will change once the baby comes,’ but they say it in a negative way. The whole purpose of having a baby is to embrace change.” The fashion designer also shared how she manages her professional life during this special time. “I have set up a system that allows me to take time off from work when I need to, without feeling guilty. This approach has been invaluable in balancing my professional responsibilities and personal wellbeing during this special time,” she said.
Masaba Gupta announced her pregnancy in April 2024. The designer shared a picture of herself and her husband, actor Satyadeep Mishra, sitting on the floor. Along with the pictures, she wrote a note and asked everyone to send well wishes and “banana chips”. She wrote, “Second news – two little feet are coming to us! Please send love, blessings and banana chips (just plain salted) #babyonboard #mom&dad.”
