Meta is preparing for another big game in smart glasses location – this time with Okla. The announcement was teased through a new Instagram account called ‘@oakleymeta’, and Buzz only raised steam after the official handle of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Okle and even Instagram.

Meta is again. It seems that the company is preparing for another big game in Smart Glasses Space – this time with Okla. The announcement was teased through a new Instagram account called ‘@oakleymeta’, and Buzz only raised steam after the official handle of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Okle and even Instagram. Although it does not reveal too much, the caption, which says, “The next development is coming on June 20”, enough to bounce speculation. Will it be sports-focused glasses? Is a new design twist compared to Meta’s previous efforts in smart glasses? We will know soon.
This collaboration, which looks like a shift to a sport from style, will mark the third outing of the meta with the ievier giant Essilaxotica-Company who owns both Okle and Ray-Ban. Unlike the previous ray-ban, which was more bent towards fashion and everyday utility, the upcoming Okle Meta Glass is rumored to be more performing, possibly aimed at athletes, cycle drivers and enthusiasts of fitness.
Meta’s earlier partnership with Ray-Ban gave us stories of Ray-Ban in 2021, followed by better Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glass in 2023. Later in 2025, India was launched at an initial price of Rs 29,900, which had features such as Meta AI Voice Command, Real-Time Language Translations, WhatsApp support, and even built-in cameras. The Meta AI app offers glasses added with the AI app, users the ability to edit photos, re-interaction, and free hands. Although work, glasses were more about the use of light AI and media, it was not actually made for running, cycling or acute external activity. With okla, it can change.
Rumor Okle X Meta Smart Glass is named Supernova 2 and they are inspired by the sportes okle’s sportes – sports sunglasses among multisport users.
