Mardaani 3, directed by Abhiraj Meenawala, marks the return of Rani Mukherjee to the big screen. The third installment of the much-talked-about investigative crime thriller franchise got off to a good start. After showing promising growth in the first weekend, the film held well on weekdays. The film grossed approximately Rs. Earned Rs 1.75 crore on the seventh day, which registers a decline of 10 percent compared to the sixth day.
Although the pause is justified, it would have been better if the film had not gone below Rs. 2 crore figure on Thursday. Still, the film has earned a total of Rs 50 crore. It grossed ₹25 crore at the Indian box office in its 7-day theatrical run, setting a good base for the second weekend.
The Rani Mukherjee starrer now needs to show a big jump in the second weekend to reach a respectable total by the end of its theatrical run. Mardaani 3 should aim to wrap its entire theatrical run around Rs. 45 crore nett mark, which is similar to the lifetime cume of Mardaani 2. The goal is largely achievable as there is no significant competition leading up to O’Romo’s release.
