About Maa Vande
Maa VandeKranti, written and directed by Kumar CH, will depict the journey of Narendra Modi from his early years to his leadership as Prime Minister. The film will focus on both his political achievements and personal experiences, including his relationship with his mother Hiraben Modi. Sharing the first look poster on social media, Mukundan wrote, “The story of a man who transcends battles to become a revolution for the ages #Mawande, wishing a very happy birthday to Honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi ji. May glory be revived and bright things await.”
Discussing his role, Mukundan wrote, “I am happy to share that I will be playing the character of Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi ji, the Honorable Prime Minister of India, in the upcoming film Maa Vande directed by @kranthikumarch and produced by @maavandemovie. Having grown up in Ahmedabad, I first knew him as our Chief Minister in my childhood. Years later, in April 2023, I had the privilege of meeting him in person, a moment that left an indelible impression. Left it to me.”
He further added, “As an actor, stepping into this role is overwhelming and inspiring. His political journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, but in this film, we aim to explore the man beyond the politician, especially his deep bond with his mother, who shaped his character and spirit. From my own conversations with him, two of his words have stayed with me through life’s difficulties. In Gujarati, he said: ‘Jhukvanu nahi’, which means ‘never bow down.’ Those words have been a source of strength and determination for me ever since.”
