Famous Marathi actor Atul Parchure has passed away at the age of 57. Parchure, who was a prominent figure in both Marathi and Bollywood cinema, died on October 14 after his health deteriorated while working on the stage show, Suryaachi Pillay.
The actor, who had been battling cancer for several years, reportedly experienced a recurrence of the disease.
Sources close to the family confirmed that Parchure breathed his last this morning. He is survived by his mother, wife and daughter, who have requested privacy during this difficult time.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed grief by posting for the actor.
