Amaranth, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, will release in theaters on October 31, 2024. Recently, director Mani Ratnam attended the audio launch event as a guest and praised the actress.
Speaking at the audio launch, Mani Ratnam said, “Sai usually does roles that feel very real, and now that she has played a real role too, I am sure she has done well. I am a big fan of yours and I hope someday I get a chance to work with you.

The upcoming film Amaran is a biographical action film focusing on the life of martyred soldier Major Mukund Varadarajan. Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead role of Mukund, with Sai Pallavi playing the role of his wife Indu Rebecca Varghese.
The film, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, is based on the book India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiva Aroor and Rahul Singh, which includes a section on Major Mukund. Apart from SK and Sai, the film co-produced by Kamal Haasan also stars Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Sreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Ajay Naga Raman, Mir Salman and many more in lead roles.
Moving forward, director Mani Ratnam is currently in the post-production work of his next film titled Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan. The film marks the reunion of the pair after decades, and is said to be an action drama that stars Silambarasan TR, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Ashok Selvan, Pankaj Tripathi, Nassar, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami Gopikumar, Aishwarya Lakshmi . and many more.
On the other hand, Sai Pallavi is also going to be seen as the female lead in Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film Thandel. Directed by Chandu Mondeti, the film is said to be the story of a man from the fishermen community.
Apart from Thandale, the actress also has the much-awaited Ramayan film starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead and directed by Nitish Tiwari. Apart from this, the actress will also be seen in a Bollywood film with Junaid Khan.
