Mani Ratnam and ‘Thug Life’ team celebrate Kamal Haasan’s 65 years in showbiz

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan completed 65 years in showbiz on August 12. Director Mani Ratnam and the entire team of ‘Thug Life’ planned a special surprise for the ‘Vikram’ actor to celebrate his achievement. Kamal Haasan was given a guard of honour by the cast and crew of ‘Thug Life’. The team also printed a special banner with pictures of the actor’s debut film ‘Kalathur Kannamma’ and his ongoing film ‘Thug Life’.
On August 13, Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies shared a video and several pictures from the celebration. The production house captioned the post, “65 years as an actor, writer, singer, lyricist, choreographer, make-up artist, producer and director. Always a member of the unit. The entire team #ThugLife celebrates and salutes the many facets of Kamal Haasan sir’s artistry.”

Kamal Haasan thanked Mani Ratnam and the entire team and posed with them in front of a celebratory banner. We can see cinematographer Ravi K Chandran and stunt choreographer duo Anbarivu (Anbu Arivu) standing next to Kamal Haasan.
Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for director Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Thug Life’. In this film, the duo will be seen together again after 37 years. It is reported that the shooting is taking place on a grand set in Chennai.
“It is shaping up really well. We are very excited. It has been a great journey with Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam. The film is going to be fantastic. They are going to love it. We are loving it,” Shiva Ananth, one of the producers of ‘Thug Life’, told IndiaToday.in exclusively.
Kamal Haasan started his career as an actor at the age of five with the Tamil film ‘Kalathur Kannamma’. ‘Thug Life’ is the 234th film of his career.
