Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan completed 65 years in showbiz on August 12. Director Mani Ratnam and the entire team of ‘Thug Life’ planned a special surprise for the ‘Vikram’ actor to celebrate his achievement. Kamal Haasan was given a guard of honour by the cast and crew of ‘Thug Life’. The team also printed a special banner with pictures of the actor’s debut film ‘Kalathur Kannamma’ and his ongoing film ‘Thug Life’.

On August 13, Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies shared a video and several pictures from the celebration. The production house captioned the post, “65 years as an actor, writer, singer, lyricist, choreographer, make-up artist, producer and director. Always a member of the unit. Kamal Haasan started his career as an actor at the age of five with the Tamil film ‘Kalathur Kannamma’. ‘Thug Life’ is the 234th film of his career.
