Chiranjeevi’s latest film, Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu did well at the box office this year after releasing domestically on January 12, 2026. After spending three weeks in theatres, the film is now reaching fans digitally. MSVPG is officially releasing on OTT, it was revealed on Tuesday.
Man Shankar Var Prasad Garu locked on OTT release platform
On 3 February, ZEE5 Telugu released a poster for the film, confirming the release platform of the OTT show. It said, “Man Shankar Var Prasad Garu. The Boss. The Megastar. Entering on ZEE5. Stay tuned.” Along with this, there was also a teaser of the film, in which the story of Man Shankar Var Prasad Garu was shown.
The release date of the film will be confirmed in the coming days. However, it is expected that the Telugu language theatrical release will be released in the second week of March, as per the 8-week window. However, it may decide to abandon expectations and opt for a shorter period between theatrical screenings and OTT releases.
About Man Shankar Var Prasad Garu
The film is based on a national security officer named Shankar Var Prasad, who is forced to separate from his wife Sasirekha and their children due to lack of approval from his father GVR. While he works undercover as a Physical Training (PT) mentor, his ex-wife watches him try to get closer to their children. Ultimately, he is hired as his father-in-law’s security chief and deployed to foil the master plan hatched by the goons to harm him. The story follows him as he protects his family and stops a former friend from marrying his ex-wife.
The film stars Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Nayanthara and Catherine Tresa in lead roles.
Box office performance of Mana Shankar Var Prasad Garu
The action comedy was said to be produced with an estimated budget of Rs 200 crore, which ultimately clocked in at Rs. As per the latest reports, the worldwide box office collection is around Rs 245 crore. Out of this Rs. An achievement of Rs 237 crore has been achieved in India. About Rs 209 crore has come from Telugu states.
