Malayalam actor Mammootty has turned 73. On this special day, his son and star Dulquer Salmaan made the day even more special by sharing a sweet birthday post dedicated to his father.

Sharing a happy picture of the couple, Dulquer wrote, “Lately I have realised that best friends never get any pictures taken together. Because the moments spent with them are so precious and fun that it is hard to even think of wasting time posing or taking selfies.”

He further added, “Every year it’s become a tradition that we take pictures and post them on your birthday Papa. Somehow our phones never have pictures of the two of us. But now I’m starting to understand and I love why. Happy birthday to my best friend, my hero, my father!! (sic)”

While Mohanlal shared an ex post with the caption, “Happy Birthday dear Ichakka,” Mammootty’s Pazhassi Raja co-star Kaniha heaped praises on the icon and said in her post, “Working with you in over seven films will always remain one of my richest memories which will be cherished forever… can’t wait to share the screen with you again! Happy birthday to one of the finest actors.”
