Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko was arrested by the Kochi police on Saturday after a four -hour long interrogation related to a drug case. The arrest took place a few days after Chacko allegedly escaped from a hotel in Kochi during an intoxicating raid.

The 41 -year -old Chacko has been booked under Section 27 (consumption of intoxicating drugs or psychotropic substances) and 29 (abetment and criminal conspiracy) under the intoxicating drugs and psychotropic substances (NDPS) Act. According to the police, medical examination and other proceedings will be conducted soon.

On Saturday, Shine Tom Chacko was called for questioning in response to a formal notice issued by the Kochi City Police. However, later in the evening, he was granted bail.

Earlier this month, speaking at an event, National Award winner Malayalam actor Vinci Alashius opened about an uncertain experience with co-star-someone’s name. He alleged that the actor was under the influence of drugs on the set and displayed inappropriate behavior, making it difficult for him to continue working.

However, on Thursday, Vinci withdrew his complaint, citing violation of faith and violation of his oblivion. Complaint, which was presented to the Kerala Film Chamber and Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) during the shooting of an unpounted film and the use of alleged drugs.
