The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has filed a charge sheet against Malayalam actor M Mukesh in an alleged rape case. The charge sheet was presented by the authorities to the Ernakulam Judicial Magistrate Court. According to ANI, digital evidence including email and WhatsApp chat is presented. SIT also collected circumstantial evidence and witness statements to support the case.
Mukesh has been accused of sexual assault after allegedly promised complainant membership at Malayalam Film Association, Amma. Actress Minu Munir, who hails from Aluva, filed a complaint, lodging a case registered by the Maradu police.
The first Information Report (FIR) includes serious allegations under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), such as Section 376 (rape), Section 354 (attacking a woman with the intention of annoying Vinay), and Section 509 (Words of words Insulting a woman through medium). These crimes take serious legal consequences.
In August last year, Mukesh’s lawyer said that his client was ready to cooperate with the police. He also mentioned that if the allegations proved to be false, the officials could file a reference report.
For unaffected, actress Minu Munir made allegations against several Malayalam film industry figures last year. He accused actor Mukesh of abuse with Idwell Babu, Manianpila Raju and Jayasuri.
Minu claimed that Mukesh demanded an inappropriate demand when he tried to join the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (Amma). He also shared a disturbed incident related to actor Jayasurya. Minu alleged that during a film shoot in 2008, he caught him from behind and invited him to his flat. But when he refused, he did not press the matter anymore.
At that time, Manianpila Raju called for a proper investigation and told the media that such cases could be misused by some individuals for personal or financial benefits.
