Actress Malaika Arora addressed the constant scrutiny of her personal life. She highlighted societal double standards by mentioning “men divorce, marry women half their age”, while a woman is judged based on her choices.
in an interview with Mojo StoryMalaika said, “You are constantly judged for being strong. We will make these decisions regardless. I have immense respect and love for men because some of the men in my life have been instrumental and have been truly amazing.”
However, they highlighted how society treats men and women in similar situations. “Today, if a man decides to move on—get a divorce, marry someone half his age—it’s like, ‘Wow, what a man!’ But when a woman does it, she is questioned: ‘Why would she do something like that? Doesn’t he understand?’ Perpetual stereotypes persist.”
Malaika was in a relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor. The two reportedly broke up in 2024. Both of them did not give any official statement about their break-up. They started dating in 2018. Although they initially kept their relationship private, the couple later shared glimpses of their romance through vacation photos and birthday posts on Instagram.
Malaika’s first marriage was with Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan. The former couple has a 23-year-old son named Arhaan. Malaika and Arbaaz got married in 1998. They announced their separation in 2016, citing compatibility issues. The couple officially divorced in 2017.
