What is so unique about Bread Samosa?
The dough for this samosa is prepared using bread slices instead of regular flour. This reduces the lengthy process of preparing the dough, thus making it ideal for times when you want to have a quick snack. Also, this bread samosa is air-fried instead of using the traditional deep-frying method, which reduces the calorie count significantly.
How to ensure that bread samosa turns out crispy?
To make perfectly crispy bread samosas, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. Firstly, make sure you don’t overstuff the samosas with potato filling. This can easily cause them to burst, leading to improper cooking. Secondly, don’t put too many samosas in the air fryer basket at once. This will make them more likely to stick together, which will change their texture. Lastly, make sure to cook the samosas for enough time, else the bread won’t be as crispy.
How to make samosa from leftover roti | Easy samosa recipe
It is extremely easy to make these samosas at home. Start by preparing the stuffing for the samosas. For this, heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, chopped ginger and green chilies. Fry well. Now, add boiled peas and potatoes along with red chili powder, dry mango powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, black pepper, salt and fresh coriander. Keep aside. Next, cut the edges of the bread slices and roll them using a rolling pin. Cut each bread slice into two halves, and fold it in such a way that it takes the shape of a cone. Fill the bread cone with the prepared potato stuffing and fry in a preheated air fryer for about 8 to 12 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Serve hot with mint chutney and enjoy!
