The auspicious week has begun. Yesterday many of us celebrated the festival of Lohri. Today (14 January 2025) we are celebrating Bhogi and Makar Sankranti. Celebs wish Bhogi, Makar Sankranti
The day started with many of us getting ready, worshiping the deities and celebrating the Indian festivals of Makar Sankranti and Bhogi. Soon, celebs extended warm wishes to fans on this auspicious occasion. “Wishing everyone a very Happy Pongal,” War 2 actor Jr NTR wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Actor Surya Sivakumar gave a special surprise to his fans today on the occasion of Pongal by releasing the film Vavathiyar. Sharing the announcement poster of his new film on the microblogging site, the actor expressed, “Happy Pongal and Sankranti to all of you! Heartiest wishes to Karthi and team #VaaVaathiyaar.”
Next was actress and Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata Shirodkar, who dropped a minimalistic post on her Instagram Stories. “Happy Bhogi,” he wished his fans. He was followed by Telugu actor Sai Durga Tej, who posted a video of him celebrating the festival by lighting a bonfire. In the following post, he also wishes a joyful, happy and prosperous Makar Sankranti. Varun Tej Konidela also shared a picture of a burning bonfire, wishing everyone a “Happy Bhogi”.
Naga Chaitanya’s stepmother, actor-activist Amala Akkineni, was not behind in sending good sentiments to her followers on Instagram. So, she shared a formal post and captioned it, “As we celebrate the harvest festival, I share best wishes for abundance, prosperity, love and gratitude. May we continue to live in harmony with our neighbors, with nature and all life around us.”
