Main Hoon Punjab: Diljit Raps met Gala with ‘Turban, Culture, Mother Language’.
For Diljit Dosanj, heritage and culture came into fashion first and after and later he walked on a blue carpet in Met Gala 2025. The 41 -year -old took a part of the royal history of Punjab in the biggest night of fashion, inspired by his Maharaja.

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh on Tuesday made his first meeting a Gala attendance, wearing a turban as part of the heritage look inspired by Pagula Bhupinder Singh, the former ruler of the Rajkumar kingdom of Patiala. He wore a cape with a map of Punjab, and an exquisite diamond-armed-level necklace inspired by the Maharaja’s cartier collection. But, none of this is bright compared to the heritage that he did with him on a blue carpet.
Dosanjh, who was proud of India on the global stage, called himself a represented of the Punjab state in the post he later made on Instagram. He wrote about taking the entire culture with him, which is considered to be the biggest night of fashion in the world.
The 41 -year -old, making a post about his appearance, and proud to use Punjabi language while bringing his ‘turban’ identity in an international event such as Met Gala. “Main Hoon #Metgala. Inspired by the theme of Black Dandiism, I bring my turban, my culture and my mother tongue for” Met Gala (SIC), “he wrote in the caption of his post, tagged his team members and thanked them for bringing the entire look together.

Diljit became the first turban artist to participate in Met Gala. Pop star Shakira included other people on the way to the incident. Dosanjh and he shared the same limosine. In fact, a video of ‘Waka Waka’ singer is now going viral on social media, saying “Hi, India”.
The entire look of Dosanjh placed India’s royal history, its ambiguity and its colorful heritage on the global fashion map. He was owned by every inch of that look, the way he could!
