Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra will resume shooting for SSMB29 this August, India has specially learned today. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film marks its first cooperation with both stars and is being postponed as a globe-trotting action-adventure.
Talking to India Today today, a source close to production shared, “August occurs when the cameras begin to roll again. Mahesh is undergoing widespread physical training, and Priyanka’s dates have been closed after long coordination. The program is going to be intense and important for the arc of the story.”
‘SSMB29’ will include Mahesh Babu in a rugged, action-rich avatar, which will include on the board with international stunt teams. “East Africa has been finalized as an important place for the film’s main story,” discloses a source close to the team. “It offers bumpy landscape and untouched areas that are aligned with vision for Rajamouli’s high-day, courageous plot. The shoot will begin in August in South Africa, followed by a schedule in Europe. The team will also go to Tanzania for a repetition.”
While Mahesh Babu has been harassed about his look, a member of a crew revealed, “He is lean, sharper. The idea is to present him as a pan-world explorer. Also, the action will be raw, grounded and shot in real places. Priyka’s character, meanwhile, is the role of a single hero.
Although the official title is yet to be announced, fans are already calling it ‘SSMB29’, as it is Mahesh’s 29th film. And expectations are sky-high.
Meanwhile, in March, the team wrapped the Odisha schedule, and some shooting was also completed in Hyderabad. The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran.
