Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan made his debut in Siddharth P. Malhotra’s historical drama film Maharaj. The film, which released on Netflix earlier this year, also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey and Sharvari. As the creator took the audience through the Maharaja Libel Case of 1862, he also touched upon the concept of ‘Charan Seva’ which became the essence of the story. During an interview, Shalini recalled feeling awkward after shooting the scene with Jaideep.
Shalini Pandey has played the character of Kishori in the film Maharaj. His character becomes the victim of a self-styled godman who sexually exploits young women by asking them to perform ‘charan seva’. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama about shooting the scene with Jaideep Ahlawat, who is seen as godman Maharaj Jadunath Brijartan (JJ), the actress admitted that as soon as she completed the scene, she felt ‘weird’. Happened.
She further added that the moment she took a break and stepped out, she realized what the character was going through. When she performed, she realized ‘what had happened!’ Realizing that this incident actually happened to a woman in real life and may still be happening somewhere. “Everything was really overwhelming,” he said, adding that it took him time to process it. Meanwhile, on the work front, Shalini Pandey made her acting debut opposite Vijay Deverakonda in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2017 blockbuster Arjun Reddy. While her first lead film was Bamfaad with Aditya Rawal, she made her big screen (Hindi) debut with Ranveer Singh in Jayeshbhai Jordaar in 2022.
Having said that, Shalini has an exciting lineup of projects in her kitty. She will be seen in Dabba Cartel next year and then Bandwale. Additionally, his Tamil film Idli Kadhai is scheduled for theatrical release on April 10, 2025.
