Jaideep Ahlawat, who was last seen this year in Junaid Khan’s debut film Maharaj, has been a part of Hindi cinema for over a decade. He got his big break in 2012 in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. The actor studied at the Film and Television Institute of India and entered Bollywood in the late 2000s. Maharaj star Jaideep recently recalled why he decided not to travel by bus in Mumbai in his early days. The Paatal Lok actor instead wanted to reduce one roti from his meal.

During his latest interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Jaideep Ahlawat was asked to describe his memories of his early days in Mumbai. While Jaideep said that he never disliked that phase of his life, the actor recalled that traveling in the city was not easy.

Sharing his experience of traveling in the city for work, the Maharaj actor recalled that once he boarded a bus to save money. Jaideep, who traveled from Malad to Infinity Mall, used to get drenched in sweat.

Jaideep described it as “regular exercise” and said he usually sweats a lot. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor shed light on how Mumbai is facing the rainy season and heat waves.

“That day I will sit in the bus and decide that I will not be able to sit in the bus again, Karliya. Even if I want to eat, I will definitely eat one less roti, but this will not be possible.” Again of transportation. (I think I would cut down one roti from my meal, but I can’t do that),” said the Paatal Lok actor.

The Raazi actor further revealed that he would sit in the mall drenched in sweat for half an hour and then continue his journey. However, Jaideep was never disappointed by his experiences and remained positive about his journey.

Jaideep Ahlawat graduated in acting from FTII in 2008, where actors Rajkummar Rao and Vijay Varma were his batchmates. Jaideep first appeared in Akshay Kumar’s Khatta Meetha in 2010, followed by the Ajay Devgan-starrer Aakrosh in the same year.

Jaideep is best known for his role as Hathi Ram Chaudhary in the 2020 web series Paatal Lok produced by Anushka Sharma. His other films include Raazi, Jaane Jaan and An Action Hero.
