Actress Priyanka Chopra and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor reunited at the annual Harvard India Conference, where Chopra delivered an inspiring closing keynote address. The event, held at Harvard University, brought together leaders from Indian business, policy and culture. Both Chopra and Tharoor were among the keynote speakers, their backstage conversation capturing the attention of attendees and fans alike.

Tharoor shared his experience of meeting Chopra on X, posting photos from backstage and praising her achievements. He wrote, “Met @priyankachopra (after over a decade) at @Harvard backstage, just before her appearance as the closing keynote of @HarvardIndConf. It’s remarkable to see (and hear) how well she’s doing! She’s made India proud by conquering a platform that Indians rarely get a chance to attend. And of course she looks stunning, seems perfectly poised and thoughtful and intelligent – proud of it.” What is there not to do?”

Chopra warmly responded to Tharoor’s message, expressing his appreciation and gratitude. He replied, “It’s great to see you again @ShashiTharoor sir. I’ve always had such admiration for you as a speaker, but also for the people clapping for you. Thank you so much for being on my panel and for your wisdom. Hope you feel better soon and our paths cross again.”

During her keynote speech, Chopra reflected on her formative years and the impact of her experiences in the United States. She said, “Your life is a sum of choices and experiences. And I was moving to America at that young age, it was a very defined age or adolescence, you know, you are influenced by the adult you are becoming, you choose things that work for you, serve you. And I spent that time in America. So it definitely defined me, made me independent.”

Chopra, who has established a successful career in both Bollywood and Hollywood, is recognized as one of the few Indian actors who has bridged the gap between the two industries. She also shared insights on personal growth and the importance of making choices that align with personal values, emphasizing how her travels abroad shaped her independence and identity.

The Harvard India Conference featured speakers from across fields including technology, finance, literature and sports, including prominent names like badminton champion PV Sindhu. The event highlighted the achievements of Indian leaders and provided a platform for dialogue on issues related to India’s development and global presence.

On the work front, Chopra is all set to make a comeback in Indian cinema SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj co-star. She will also be seen in upcoming ott releases, The Bluff.
