Lyricist Anand Bakshi’s son criticizes ‘Tu Meri Main Tera’ Saat Samundar Paar Remix
The remix of the classic song Saat Samundar Paar in Kartik Aryan and Ananya Panday’s upcoming film has sparked a major debate, with the original lyricist’s family raising concerns about proper credit for the song.

Remix version of the iconic track “Across the seven seasKartik Aryan and Ananya Panday from their upcoming film. You are mine, I am yours, you are mine, A debate has erupted. This issue focuses on the songwriting credits associated with the remix version of the song. The family of the original songwriter has raised concerns over how the song credits are handled in the new film.
The song was originally composed Composed by Viju Shah, written by Anand Bakshi, and sung by Sadhna Sargam and Udit Narayan. On Wednesday, Anand Bakshi’s son, Rakesh Anand Bakshi, shared a post on Instagram after noticing that both Anand Bakshi and Karan Navani are credited as lyricists in the remix, while Navani has only added a few lines.
Sharing a screenshot of the credits, Rakesh wrote, “Producers and publishers should not claim credit for a writer singer etc as a co-lyricist for adding one or two lines to the original song; just like they have put original/additional music in the credits, they could have done the same with the lyrics. This is the format currently used in streaming platforms. They need to improve this. ASAP. It’s 2025 today. 25 AD Not that they can’t improve ASAP (sic).”

He further added, “The original creators are Anand Bakshi, Viju Shah. (I appreciate the singer that he has made it slow, and sung it well, but I don’t appreciate the lyrics he has made, they don’t match the idea behind the previous verse, it’s a mismatch. It breaks the continuity of the previous verse).”
With these concerns now public, the issue of songwriting credits for the remix across the seven seas continues to be at the forefront with the release of you are mine i yours i yours you are mine Approach.
Directed by Sameer Vidwans, you are mine i yours i yours you are mine is supported by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawala, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishore Arora and is scheduled for theatrical release on December 25.
