Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan made her debut in 2024 with Netflix’s film Maharaja. He is now ready for his big screen appearance in romantic comedy Lavavpa, where he is acting with Khushi Kapoor. During the campaign, Junaid shared that he was initially doubted about accepting Lvavpa when he was introduced. When he asked director Advaita Chandan to portray him the lead role, he a little surprised and shared that his personality was different and he was far from the character.
In a chat with the screen recently, Junaid Khan shared that when he was selected for the role, he was initially surprised, because he felt that his personality was quite different from the character. He revealed that he also questioned the director whether he was sure that he was the right fit.
Despite his doubts, he said that director Advaita Chandan and producer Madhu Mantena were convinced in his decision to cast him.
Both Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor discussed how Lvavpa is a remake of Tamil film Love today. Junaid reported that director Advaita Chandan approached him with the idea, informed him that he had obtained the rights of the Tamil film and suggests that he looks at it.
Junaid shared that the simple basis of the story – a man who visited the girl’s family, and his father asked him to exchange his phone – the raid attracted her attention and encouraged her. He also praised Pradeep Ranganathan, who today directed, written and acted in love, calling his work magnificent.
Khushi Kapoor mentioned that she had seen the original film after her father recommended, and she immediately loved the story.
He remembered that after the first statement, there was no other idea about taking the role. He praised the script writer, Sneha for his humorous statement, which made it felt that he was already watching the film. Khushi said that there was never any doubt in his mind; She was just thrilled to be a part of it.
Apart from Junaid and Khushi, Lvavapa also stars Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda in important roles. The film will be released in theaters on 7 February 2025.
