‘Lovely Runner’ star Byeon Woo-seok to make a cameo in ‘No Gain No Love’: report
‘Lovely Runner’ star Byeon Woo-seok’s cameo has been confirmed. The actor became a household name after appearing in the hit K-drama.
According to Korean media reports, Lovely Runner star Byeon Woo-seok is all set to appear in a cameo role in the already streaming No Gain No Love starring Shin Min-a.
No Gain No Love’s production team reportedly said, “This special appearance was made possible because of her connection with (the drama’s) director Kim Jung-sik.”
Jung-sik and Woo-seok previously worked together in the JTBC series, Strong Girl Namsoon, which aired last year. According to the report, the cameo will air next week.
No Gain No Love is a romantic comedy that revolves around the character of Son Hae-young (played by Shin Min-a). She fakes her marriage to get a promotion at work. Meanwhile, Kim Ji-wook plays her husband.
IndiaToday.in’s review reads, “According to reports, South Korea’s marriage rate has dropped by at least 40 per cent in the last ten years. The government is reportedly offering some benefits for those who plan to get married, in order to encourage them. So, a new K-drama about a female lead getting into a fake marriage to grab company profits is not surprising. No Gain No Love uses the plot of a fake marriage to present a romantic comedy in capitalist times.”
