Director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently talked about his plans for a titleless project with actor Aamir Khan. He shared his vision to make the biggest action spectacle with Khan.

Kanagarj in a recent interview Hollywood reporterThe much awaited ‘Kuli’ trailer and his first Hindi film with Khan was opened. He said, “I want to distribute a trailer and then the film. More than that, anything will be cheaper. Whatever I wanted to distribute was a trailer, and the date is 2 August.”

The director further said, “After ‘Kathy 2’, my next will be Aamir Sir’s film. It will be a Hindi film, but for the global audience, not only for Indians. He is similar to Kamal Sir. For now, I can’t say if it is a superhero film, but it will be the biggest action film.”

While Kanagaraja avoided his next one superhero film, Khan in his media interaction, talked about the new project in length. He said, “Lokesh and I are doing a film together. It’s a superhero film, a large -scale action outing.”

The actor said, “The film will begin in the second half of 2026. We have signed it. I cannot reveal anything further.”

Khan was recently seen based on the Spanish Sports-Drama ‘Champions’ (2018) in his house-production ‘Sitare Zameen Paar’ (2025). The film also included Jenalia Deshmukh, Arosh Dutta, Gopi Krishna Verma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar.

Kanagarj has previously directed films like ‘Aviyal’ (2016) and ‘Managaram’ (2017). His subsequent films-‘Kheethi’ (2019), ‘Vikram’ (2022) and ‘Leo’ (2023) are a part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

Kanagarj’s next is ‘Cool’ with Rajinikanth. Khan’s film has a cameo. His new form as Daha was unveiled by Sun Pictures.

‘Coolie’ also includes Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Satyaraj and other lead roles. The action-thriller is scheduled to release on August 14, 2025.
