Released on August 29, Loca Chapter One-Chandra made a good start in the conflict with Hridaypurvam of Mohanlal. As its word-mouth spread, the film turned into a new sensation among the audience. It saw a real tendency at the box office around the world today on a point of more than Rs 200 crore. It earned Rs 108 crore from its domestic markets, while the rest, Rs 94 crore, came from abroad.
Loca Chapter One- Chandra hit double-century, 4th highest grossing Malayalam film
Bankarol was done by Dalkar Salman on a budget of Rs 30 crore, Loca Chapter One-Chandra recorded the second fastest double century at the global box office after Mohanlal’s L2 Emperan. The superhero film took only 13 days to break the Rs 200 crore mark.
Kalyani Priyadarshan starring Kalyani also turned into the fourth largest grossing Malayalam film of all times. The next target for Loca is Laleton’s Thudram, which earned around Rs 237 crore globally. Manjmel Boys finished second in the highest -grossing Malayalam films of all time, while L2: Empuraan continues to rule the top with Rs 265 crore.
