Loca: Chapter 1 – Chandra has emerged as the highest grossing film ever in Kerala. Kalyani Priyadarshan led the superhero film. 1.80 crores in its sixth weekend, its total gross Rs. 119 crores. With this, it beat Thudram, which took a record earlier this year.
Loca was already the highest -grossing Malayalam film in India and worldwide, now killing Trifacta of Record Groser in major areas. Since then, it has consolidated its lead with the rupee. 178.50 crores in India and about Rs. 298 crores worldwide. The film is definitely the first Malayalam film for the rupee. 300 million.
Coming back to Kerala, a factor that helped Loca take records is a long dramatic window.
