Let the world see what we are: Shreya Ghoshal on her ‘historic’ IPL performance
Shreya Ghoshal wore fans at the Eden Gardens during the opening ceremony of IPL 2025 with a grand music performance. Shah Rukh Khan, Disha Patani and Karan Aujla also burnt the stage.
Shreya Ghoshal enchanted thousands of cricket fans at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata during the opening ceremony of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League. Before her mesmerizing performance, the singer had butterflies in the stomach as she was set to perform with an 80-tukra song players and a 100-tukra orchestra.
In a video shared by the official social media account of the IPL, Shreya talked about how she felt just before she stepped on stage at the opening ceremony of IPL 2025.
“My preparation is just for breathing. It is not normal. I have done many performances, many performances, I can’t count the number of big places I have made. But it is emotional, it’s an eden garden, it’s Kolkata, it is India, it is India,” the singer expressed.
Shreya performed about 15 minutes At the IPL opening ceremony. He enchanted the audience with the rendering of Maa Tujhe Salaam. He also sang the title track of Shah Rukh Khan’s film Om Shanti Om and Ghar Peacock Pardesia from Alia Bhatt-Abhinit Kalank.
Talking about his performance, the 41 -year -old singer said, “When music meets cricket, it is a true celebration of our country, and whatever we have, we are proud of us. That is what I am trying to bring in this performance in a limited time. Let the world see what we are.”

Bala Subramaniam, the man behind the orchestra show, said the experience of performing at the IPL opening ceremony.
Actor Disha Patani and singer Karan Aujla also “An explosion was performing together.”
The event was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, a Bollywood superstar and co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders. He danced to Pathan’s song with Virat Kohli and thrilled the audience.
In the IPL 2025 opener, Kolkata Knight Riders lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore.
