Shreya Ghoshal enchanted thousands of cricket fans at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata during the opening ceremony of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League. Before her mesmerizing performance, the singer had butterflies in the stomach as she was set to perform with an 80-tukra song players and a 100-tukra orchestra.

In a video shared by the official social media account of the IPL, Shreya talked about how she felt just before she stepped on stage at the opening ceremony of IPL 2025.

“My preparation is just for breathing. It is not normal. I have done many performances, many performances, I can’t count the number of big places I have made. But it is emotional, it’s an eden garden, it’s Kolkata, it is India, it is India,” the singer expressed.

Shreya performed about 15 minutes At the IPL opening ceremony. He enchanted the audience with the rendering of Maa Tujhe Salaam. He also sang the title track of Shah Rukh Khan’s film Om Shanti Om and Ghar Peacock Pardesia from Alia Bhatt-Abhinit Kalank.

Talking about his performance, the 41 -year -old singer said, “When music meets cricket, it is a true celebration of our country, and whatever we have, we are proud of us. That is what I am trying to bring in this performance in a limited time. Let the world see what we are.”
