Lava has launched a new budget-focused smartphone in India called Lava Yuva Star 3. The Young Star 3 appears to have more or less the same features as last year’s Young Star 2 based on the choice of chipset and battery capacity. The only major difference we can find – based on the phone’s spec-sheet – is that it’s running a newer version of Android. Even the Yuva Star 3 is priced at the same price. Like Yuva Star 2, the price of Yuva Star 3 is also Rs 7,499.
Lava Yuva Star 3 design, specs and features
Design-wise, the Lava Yuva Star 3 comes with a flat-frame chassis and a square camera module with a dual cut-out camera setup, although this phone only has a single camera. On the front, the selfie camera is housed in a waterdrop-style notch. A notable feature is the addition of IP64 rating which makes it resistant to dust and water.
Specification-wise, the Yuva Star 3 features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by Unisoc 9863A processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage that can be expanded up to 512GB using a micro-SD card. The software is Android 15 Go edition, which is basically Android 15 for entry-level phones. Like its other phones, Lava promises a clean software experience without bloatware.
For photography, the Lava Yuva Star 3 sports a single 13-megapixel camera on the back. The front camera is 5 megapixels.
Powering the Yuva Star 3 is a 5,000mAh battery. The phone has a USB Type-C port for charging (supports up to 10W) and data syncing. Biometrics are handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The only variant of Lava Yuva Star 3 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 7,499. Lava Yuva Star 3 is giving 1 year warranty and free home service to the buyers. The phone will be available at retail stores across India from March 2026. It comes in Indus Black and Siachen White options.
