Design and Performance: The Lava Agni 3 looks and feels premium. Its back panel is beautifully curved at the edges and has a smooth texture. Metal frame has been used in it. Although the design is beautiful, we also noticed that it easily attracts stains. It is a bit heavy, but the weight distribution of the device is so good that it will not really bother the user.
However, the features that really make the Agni 3 exceptional are its secondary display and action keys. The secondary screen, which Lava calls the Insta Screen, is right next to the camera setup on the back. It lets you manage your notifications and calls without even picking up the phone. When you’re using the rear camera, the Insta screen also acts as a viewfinder so you can use your primary camera for selfies. The cherry on top: Fieri is an animated character created by Lava for the Fire 3’s Insta screen. It has no real function, but its beauty will make your day.
As far as iPhone-like action keys go, this is a nice little feature. It is highly customizable. By default, a single click lets you take a screenshot, a double click turns on the flashlight, and a long press lets you switch between silent and ringer modes. But all these functions can be tailored. Read more about these features in our detailed review.
The Lava Agni 3 features a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The curved display not only gives it a premium look but also improves the viewing experience. The curved display also means minimal bezels. It is highly responsive with a fast-responding in-display fingerprint sensor.
Display: The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. While primarily using the phone, I didn’t face any lag. I also did not notice excessive heating on the device, but you will notice slightly higher temperatures while charging. The phone runs on Android 14. Check out the benchmark scores here.
Camera: The Lava Agni 3 has a quad-camera setup: a 50-megapixel primary (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultrawide, an 8-megapixel telephoto (3x zoom), and a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear camera is just fine for capturing clear and crisp photos, but the front camera could have been better. Take a look at the camera samples.
Battery: The 5,000mAh battery of the Lava Agni 3 easily lasts a day. The phone’s 66W fast charging support improves the battery experience. The phone charges from 0 to 100 percent in just over 60 minutes. The retail box comes with a charger. The technology is more efficient and provides faster charging times than other combinations.
Decision: Lava Agni 3 is available at an effective price of Rs 19,999. At this price, the phone is a power-packed performer, with a number of premium features. Insta Screen and Action Keys make the user experience even better. The device also has a beautiful design, long-lasting battery, and a solid primary camera, making it worth considering.
