What is planetary alignment? How to see planetary parade?

The so -called planetary parade, which started last month, is moving towards its grand finale. For a brief moment on 28 February, all the planets of our solar system will appear in the night sky – a astronomical event that scientists have described as rare.

After Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune align in the night sky between 21 to 29 January, it will be the last time by 2040 that all seven planets including mercury will align to create a magnificent night sky. .

What is planetary alignment?

Astronomers use planetary alignment to describe events when the planets gather closely on one side of the Sun at the same time. Any number of planets, three to eight forms a alignment. Five or six planets showing together are known as a large alignment, with five-plan alignment more than six more times. However, the seven-plan alignment is rare to all.

Unlike diagrams and pictures, the planets will not appear in a queue. The planets revolve around the Sun in different classes in a three-dimensional place, which makes them almost impossible to come together in a straight line.

“While it is true that they (planets) will appear more or less with a line beyond the sky, this planet always does. That line is called acryptic, and it represents the aircraft of the solar system in which the planets of the planets Sun revolves around, “NASA explains.

“This, by coincidence, why we sometimes see the planets to get closer to each other on the sky, because we look at them with a line while they take care around the cosmic racetrack.”

How to see planetary parade?

To see the planetary parade, go away from an open area or hill away from the light of the city. If the weather is clear, you will be able to see most planets naked eyes, bar neptunes and Uranus. A telescope can help you see these two planets.

In particular, Mars will appear in the east, Jupiter and Uranus in the southeast and Venus, Neptune and Saturn in the west. While the January quadrantid meteor was particularly due to the shower and partial planetary parade, the material is even more special due to rare alignment in February.
