Rajinikanth’s 2024 released Tamil Sports Drama Lal Salaam scored an average run at the box office. Directed by her daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film received mixed reactions from the audience. It has been more than a year since its release, and now the film has finally announced its OTT release date.
When and where to see red salute
LAL will streaming at Sun NXT from 6 June on the occasion of Salaam Eid-al-Aadha. The teaser was demolished on the X handle of the OTT platform, which announced the release date for the much awaited film.
The caption of the post reads, “Stay and think who is firing the screen of this bacrid?”
In addition, another formal announcement was also made by the industry’s internal formula on X by Christopher Kanagarraj, stating that the film would start streaming next week.

The story of Lal Salaam essentially revolves around the game of cricket. It is focused around the life of two friends, Thiru and Shamsuddin, who is a skilled cricketer from Murabad.
While the two come from different religious backgrounds, they share a good friendship, much like their father. However, during the elections, he is manipulated by a politician’s son in his close relationship, which provokes him to play a warm match against each other.
How both of them postponed a crisis and overcome the individual group to create a more cordial bond between people of different religions in their city.

Lal Salaam along with Rajinikanth performed Rajinikanth with Vishnu Vishal, Vivek Prasanna, Vikrant, Senthil, Dhanya Balakrishna, Livingston and more.
It is written by Vishnu Rangwami and is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Lal Salaam is produced by Laika Productions, while AR Rahman has composed the film’s music score.
