Imtiaz Ali has proven his worth as a skilled filmmaker and screenwriter. But in 2018, he collaborated with his brother Sajid Ali on his first directorial venture Laila Majnu. Even though the romantic film didn’t do great business upon its release, it gained popularity over the years. Hence, the makers decided to release it again in theatres. While the film is performing positively, the duo hinted at joining hands for another potential love story.
A few hours ago, Imtiaz Ali dropped a piece of paper decorated with leaves on the border. In the middle, it had Laila Majnu written on it. The poster also mentions some epic love stories like Sohni-Mahiwal, Sassi-Punnu, Mirza-Sahiba, Heer-Ranjha, Shirin-Farhad and Romeo-Juliet. Making fans curious, he wrote in the caption, ““Sabki Kahani Likhi Hue Hai….” How about the next love legend?!!”

As Sajid and Imtiaz’s Laila Majnu showed a positive trend at the box office, actor Avinash Tiwari, who led the film alongside Tripti Dimri, expressed his happiness on Twitter.
In his post, he wrote, “Thank you all for your love… I have always believed that there is a large section of the audience that does not raise its voice… but those who do not speak, when they speak, they speak amazingly! Thank you audience… this is your victory… I know it was personal for you.”
Dimri also released a video showing the BTS of the film’s re-release in a cinema hall. In the caption, she mentioned that the group hug said it all. She said, “We are all extremely happy with the kind of love our film is getting… I remember 6 years ago when the film released, there were literally 10 people in the theatre… and last night there was hardly any space for us to sit… I am crying tears of joy… This film is a piece of my heart, and I am so grateful for all your love… Thank you #LailaMajnu back in theatres.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Tripti will next be seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala video alongside Rajkummar Rao. She is also a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Dhadak 2.
