On the occasion of Tovino Thomas’s 36th birthday, Mollywood actors Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran shared the first-look poster of the upcoming film L2: Empuraan. Introducing Tovino as Jathin Ramdas, he wished him all the best on the special day.

On Tuesday, Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran unveiled the first-look poster of Jathin on their Instagram handles with the message, “Happy Birthday Jathin! #TovinoThomas Power is an illusion! (sic).”

The poster features Tovino Thomas as Jathin Ramdas, displaying a calm demeanor in a white kurta-pajama. He stands with his back to the camera, with a huge portrait of PK Ramdas, played by Sachin Khedekar, prominently displayed on the wall, hinting at an interesting narrative relationship between the characters.

L2: Empuraan stars Tovino Thomas and Mohanlal in lead roles, who plays Stephen Nedumpalli aka Khureshi Abrams. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the shooting of the upcoming film was completed in December last year. The film is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, which was also directed by Prithviraj and starred Mohanlal in the lead role.

Earlier, the makers had shared the poster of Prithviraj’s look as Zaid Masood. He will reprise his role as Mohanlal’s confidant Khureshi Abrams. It is being said that Prithviraj’s screen time will be longer in the sequel.

Apart from him, L2E also stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Sania Ayyappan, Arjun Das, Saikumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sachin Khedekar and Baiju Santosh. The film will be released on March 27, 2025 in five languages.
