L2 Empuran OTT release: when and where Mohanlal, Prithviraj watch movie
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and starring Mohanlal, the very successful Malayalam film ‘L2: Emperan’ will soon be available for streaming. The film, which faced controversy over the depiction of communal riots, will be on Gehotstar from April 24.
The Malayalam action film ‘L2: Empuraan’ will be available to stream on Gehotstar starting on April 24. The film, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and is mainly starred by Mohanlal, was recently passed within 15 days of release of Rs 100 crore at the Indian box office.
The news was shared on X by the film’s leading actor, Mohanlal. He wrote, “L2: Empuraan will do streaming on Jiohotstar (SIC) only from April 24.”
Along with Mohanlal and Prithviraj, artists include Manju Warrier, Towino Thomas, Jerome Flyn and Suraj Venjaramudu.
Ampuran, reflecting communal riots, faced controversy over the scenes that critics stated that 2002 were similar to the riots of Gujarat. After public backlash, filmmakers edited two minutes and eight second footage. Despite these changes, the team continues to deal with the investigation on the issue.
